An indoor pool at the heart of the district.
In the Acharaf district of Marrakech, AHMA built an indoor semi-Olympic pool for the Académie Régionale d'Éducation et de Formation Marrakech-Safi. A facility rooted in its neighbourhood, it gives local young people a place to learn to swim and to train under supervision. It reflects the contracting authority's intent to equip the urban fabric with educational and sporting facilities within everyone's reach.
AHMA's remit covered the complete delivery of the building: the long-span roof structure over the pool, air and water treatment, changing rooms and spectator seating. A facility of this kind demands rigorous control of humidity, ventilation and waterproofing, in a chlorinated environment that puts materials under strain. The teams combined precision of execution with close coordination between the trades to hand over a complete aquatic facility.
The project illustrates the course AHMA has taken as a main contractor in building and civil engineering, working alongside institutional clients since 1998. It confirms the company's roots in Marrakech and its purpose: to build public facilities that are useful and durable, in the service of the regions.
