In Khénifra, the great mosque was built on behalf of the Ministère des Habous et des Affaires Islamiques. Its salmon-pink walls, its horseshoe-arch portal and its ochre minaret, ringed by a zellige frieze, place it within Moroccan religious architecture and give it a silhouette that is recognised at a glance.
The operation is recorded under the title "Grande mosquée Khénifra", and it drew on AHMA's teams. A place of worship calls for particular care, beginning with the ornamental work: the minaret and its zellige frieze, like the horseshoe-arch portal, leave no room for approximation.
