Building for the Defence.
In Casablanca, the extension of the 2nd G.M.M. barracks (Caserne du 2ᵉ G.M.M.) provided the military site with housing for non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel, together with the external works that serve it. The purpose of such a programme is simple and essential: to give personnel decent accommodation, as close as possible to where they serve.
AHMA ran the operation as a single package covering every trade, from structural works to finishing works and the surrounding grounds. A military site sets its own rules: controlled access, constant coordination with the authority, rigorous execution and deadlines met on a site that stays in service throughout. The company put in place a site organisation to match, reconciling the pace of the works with the daily running of the barracks.
This completed project illustrates the place State contracting authorities hold in AHMA's history. A main contractor long practised in public contracts, it confirmed in Casablanca its ability to work on sensitive sites with method and discretion. There it remains true to its purpose: building for the institutions of the Kingdom and serving, over the long term, the regions where it commits itself.
