The university restaurant in Béni Mellal was built for the Office national des Œuvres universitaires, sociales et culturelles, the contracting authority for the project. Its purpose is simple and unchanging: to welcome students and give them a space for communal dining. It is a service facility, where everything depends on organisation rather than appearance.

AHMA carried out the works. The building stands on a single level and forms a markedly elongated volume, its ochre façade punctuated by a long row of windows. A colonnaded portico runs along this façade, creating a covered space in front of the building. The whole sits in a lawn, laid flat on the ground that holds it.
