A local hospital for the Essaouira hinterland.
At Tamanar, in Essaouira province, AHMA built a 45-bed local hospital. The facility serves a rural commune in the south of the province, on the road linking Essaouira to Agadir, where access to care had until then meant long journeys to the hospitals on the coast.
AHMA ran the operation as main contractor and handed over the building complete with every trade, from structural works to finishing works and including the technical packages. A hospital demands rigorous coordination of the works, command of the services particular to clinical spaces, and a standard of finish that meets the requirements of hygiene and daily operation. The teams sequenced the phases of the site so that the whole held together through to handover.
The project illustrates what AHMA sets out to do: support public contracting authorities in building healthcare facilities that serve their regions, including the most remote. It confirms the company's presence close to the areas it serves.
